Under current Iowa law, schools receive monthly lists of offenders from law enforcement. School personnel check the lists against the student and parent data base and appropriate district and building personnel are alerted when there is a match. Please note that persons listed, while they may not live within 2000 feet of a school, are not restricted from being on school property for functions open to the public and do not lose any of their parental rights. We do, however, make every attempt to be appropriately vigilant when offenders are at school.

The responsibility to notify the public is assigned to law enforcement. They satisfy the obligation through maintenance of a web-site list at www.iowasexoffender.com . Please check on the address to access that site. Schools have been discouraged from taking on this responsibility legally assigned to others. Parents who desire the most timely and accurate information should bookmark this site and check it regularly.

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize the Cedar Falls Community School District to either use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.  When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.  For inquiries, please call 319-553-3000.
