Reuniting With Your Child

The District has a plan in place to reunite students and families as soon as safely possible following a crisis situation.

It's important to note that the reunification center may be separate from the school and/or its evacuation site. In addition, each school has multiple reunification sites that can be accessed depending on the nature of the crisis. Do not assume that you know the school's evacuation site.

For the safety of yourself and your child, do not go to or call the school - follow the instructions given to you through the Connect-Ed messaging system and the media. To provide for a secure release of your child:

  • Adults will need to show a photo ID.

  • Students will be released ONLY to persons who have been authorized by the parent/guardian in writing during registration.

Please limit calling or texting your child to keep communication systems open and know that your child may not be able to respond to calls or texts. The District will make every effort to keep families informed through the Connect-Ed messaging system and the media.

Remember the safety of students and staff are always the first priority.
