Our Mission

The Cedar Falls Community Schools Foundation is a nonprofit corporation established to enhance "A Tradition of Excellence" and support the Cedar Falls Community School District by generating resources and advocating for quality public education.

"World class education is an expensive venture, requiring community partnerships and collaborative efforts. The only way we can provide this level of education to our children is to assure adequate funding. We can no longer rely on state and federal funding alone as a resource."

Who We Are

It is critically important for the Cedar Falls School District to broaden the base of its support in order to fund vital educational programs, expand cultural enrichment opportunities, and provide the equipment and facilities necessary to meet the growing needs of our students and the community. The Cedar Falls Community Schools Foundation is an Iowa nonprofit corporation for the sole benefit of the Cedar Falls Community School District and is exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

You Can Make A Difference!

Does your reunion class wish to support future Cedar Falls Community School alumni? Consider a gift from your class to support tomorrow's graduates. Past class reunion groups have made school gifts, special project gifts, teacher grants, and scholarships possible through their generous donations.

Alumni Association gifts are managed by the CFCS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Please contact us if you need more information about a class donation.

Virtual Reality Educational Pathways Campaign

The foundation is supporting the district by raising $60,000 to purchase laptops for a new program called Virtual Reality Educational Pathways (VREP). This program will allow our students to bring their own ideas to life. The computers will also be used by students in the classrooms during the day. For more information, click this link.
